MODELLING OF PRESSURE CHANGE AND “LIQUID-GAS” PHASE BOUNDARY IN THE WELL DURING SHUTDOWN FOR WELL TEST

One of the most wide-spread methods of hydrodynamic well research is the method of registration of pressure build-up curve in the abandoned well. This method permits to determine productive features and filtration and capacity properties of strata and wells. In case of a shut-in well the pressure build-up process is accompanied by increase of “dynamic level” (boundary surface “liquid-gas”) and pressure at the wellhead. At high gas content the wellhead pressure may exceed maximum permissible value by which some technical problems at the wellhead are possible.
In this work the pressure build-up dynamics and changes in boundary surface of liquid and gas phases in the well during shutting-in for a hydrodynamic research are studied on basis of mathematical modeling. There are considered cases with or without oil-well tubing. A quasistationary case of pressure build-up in a well and a case of pressure build-up in an infinite reservoir are considered. A comparative analysis of calculations with experimental data at isothermal and adiabatic gas behave our in a well is given.
The offered model allows approximate analyzing of the change in the “dynamic level” and the process of pressure build-up in a well and needs further specification considering gas emission and liquid stratification in the well.
