Methods of cleaning of chimneys of installation for retarded coking from coke
Furnaces are "heart" of installations for retarded coking. In them there is a process of heating and a cracking of the raw materials arriving in coke reactors. In the course of work the coil of the furnace cokes up that leads to reduction of a between-repairs cycle of operation of the furnace and installation as a whole. There are various ways of cleaning of chimneys from coke. The majority of them demand a stop of all installation. As the most successful the spalling method with use of water vapor as this way allows to make cleaning of separate section of the furnace is recognized. while other section remains in work. The method is based on a difference of coefficients of linear expansion of coke and metal of pipes that allows deleting to 95% of deposits. It increases duration of operation of the furnace before the following capital repairs. Need of carrying out spalling establish in size of maximum permissible temperature of a wall of metal of a tubular coil. For this purpose on a surface of pipes install superficial thermocouples. Process of spalling consists of the following stages: gradual replacement of a stream of raw materials by a stream of water vapor; temperature increase in the furnace; keeping at these parameters before the end of cleaning; then there is the return process of decrease in temperature and replacement of a stream of water vapor by raw materials. Important point is constancy of pressure at the exit from a coil. The general duration of process doesn’t exceed 24 hours keeping thus productivity of 50-60% from the design. Also this process is eco-friendly. For uniform replacement of streams of steam and raw materials calculations on the example of the two-chamber furnace of installations for retarded coking were carried out.
