Verification of a mathematical model of a shock wave in an emergency at the plant of oil grown
Shielding constructions used for protection of buildings and equipment from blast waves caused by explosion incidents. Full-scale testing of such constructions is very expensive and time consuming, and even testing of scaled models cause a lot experiments and difficulty in strength criterion creation. Usage of Abaqus Unified FEA software allows modeling of shielding constructions in full scale size, and predicting realistic behavior of such constructions. Verification of finite element analysis software is needed to ascertain the achieved results are realistic. Such verification consist of comparison of analytical or experimental solution for blast loaded construction, and results of blast wave loading of shielding constriction simulation, made with finite element analysis software. This paper consist of comparison of brick wall blast wave loading simulation and the experimental and analytical solution results. Such comparison allow to ensure of FEA simulation result adequacy, and allow creating of realistic models for shielding constructions, which improve protection in worst scenarios of incidents involving explosions.
