The physico-chemical properties of the Unifloc polymer sample provided by VNIIBT (Moscow) were studied. And also the influence of this powdered reagent on the basic properties of clay solutions used in the Noyabrsk oil and gas region of Western Siberia was studied. The preparation is prepared by polymerization and alkaline saponification of acrylic acid. The reagent is designed to reduce the filtration and stabilization of clay solutions for drilling wells, as well as for sedimentation of suspended particles in sedimentation tanks and water storage facilities. Reagent Uniflok 4 class, produced in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The investigated sample of Unifloc reagent results in an effective reduction of the filtration index, both artificially prepared from a benthic powder solution, and the one that was produced in the well directly when drilling a well in the November region. Acceptable concentrations of Unifloc reagent in clay solutions are in the range of 0.1-0.3 %. With a higher concentration of Unifloc reagent, clay solution thickens.
When drilling a well for a conductor in the November region, the Unifloc polymer concentration can be increased to 0.3-0.5%. And to control the filtration properties of the drilling mud when drilling wells under the production column, it is sufficient to adhere to 0.1 % Unifloc.
This Unifloc polymer is sensitive to salts of divalent and trivalent ions, so it is suitable for the treatment of fresh solutions alone. It should also be excluded from contact with a cement mortar containing Ca, Mg salts, since clay solution may be destroyed.
The new sample of the Unifloc reagent differs from the earlier received reagent batches from Uzbekistan in the November region with higher quality. Thus, the filtration properties of drilling fluids decrease more efficiently with a lower increase in rheological properties.
The results of studies of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (Na-CMC) produced ZSM “Polymer” (Ekaterinburg), pilot batch production of the “Polymer” (Ekaterinburg) and industrial samples technical CMC brand 83/600 of production of JSC Plant of construction materials “Polymer” (Ekaterinburg).
All presented samples of the CMC refers to a group of high-viscosity reactants, which are actively infilled artificial and natural clay solutions. The first chemicals suitable for clay mortars used in drilling wells in the November oil and gas region under the conductor in the amount of 0.3-0.5%. The second reagent is recommended for drilling fluids used in well drilling under the conductor in an amount of 0.3-0.5%, while drilling under the production casing – 0.5-0.7% 0.05% NTF to reduce the structural and rheological properties. The third reagent is recommended for drilling fluids used in well drilling under the conductor in an amount up to about 0.5-0.6%, and for dissection of productive layers in an amount of 0.5-0.7% from thinning additive of 0.05% of NTF.
In artificial suspensions of bentonite and natural clay solutions with the addition of the reagent CMC temperature control has different influence on the rheological and structural-mechanical properties. Filtration performance and the thickness of the clay cover in the treated natural clay solutions is always lower than in the bentonite suspensions. A significant influence on the manifestation of the properties of the reagent CMC in the washing liquid having the composition and quality of the clay component of the drilling mud.
The results of studies of samples reagent Methacrylate M14BB, Lakris and HBN-01 consisting of bentonite natural clay suspensions and drilling fluids used in the November oil and gas region of Western Siberia.
Reagents M14BB and Lakris in commercial dry clay are poorly soluble in the solution forming the polymer lumps. Supplement of these reagents have little effect on the reduction of the filtration rate of clay solutions. Reagent Lakris more effective for increasing the viscosity of the mud compared to the reagent M14BB. Polymers M14BB and Lakris can be recommended as thickeners bentonite slurry for drilling under the conductor. However, the input of reagents Lakris and M14BB in the presentation in the clay solution is undesirable, better to process in the form of an aqueous solution or an aqueous solution with the addition of alkali.
Polymer HBN-01 when added to drilling fluids leads to a significant improvement of structural and rheological properties and a slight decrease in the filtration rate. Reagent HBN-01 can also be recommended to improve the structural-rheological properties of clay drilling fluids used during well drilling under the conductor.
The chemical reagents M14BB, Lakris and HBN-01 can find limited application in flushing liquids for drilling under the production casing, for example in compositions with other reducers of the rate of filtration.
The article presents the results of investigations of polymeric reagents production LLP “Cellulose Ethers” (Vladimir), composed of synthetic and natural clay mud of the November oil and gas region of Western Siberia. In particular, we studied experimental and industrial samples karboksimetikrahmala reagents (KMC), experimental and industrial samples and test reagents polysaccharide polymer complex reagent SS.
Samples were submitted to high-viscosity CMC, they lead to an effective increase of the structural, mechanical and rheological properties of the slurry at a concentration of 0.5% and above, but the filtration rate is reduced while not as effective. So KMC sample data were not recommended for drilling the main borehole production casing and completion fluids, and for use in drilling wells under the conductor when the increased viscosity of the solution is required at higher reagent concentrations.
Enterprise TOO “Cellulose Ethers” recommended to finalize the specifications for the Chemproduct and send it to other studies (less viscous) grade CMC.
Additives polysaccharide reagent in the mud do not have an effective impact on the reduction of filtration index. Experimental reagents and industrial samples differ only slightly from each other.
The study sample is an integrated reagent SS of LLP “Cellulose Ethers” (Vladimir) corresponds to advertising data and comparable to previously studied samples of PS NPO “Drilling”. Preparation of the reagent solution polimersolevogo substation reduces the filtration rate to 10-14 cm3 / 30 minutes, but only if strict adherence to the developed technology.
Results of investigations of physical and chemical properties and the impact on drilling fluid parameters: technical prototype sodium carboxymethylcellulose (Na-CMC) of the brand “Kamtsel-1” manufactured by JSC “Karbokam” in comparison with a reagent Taurus-2; CMC production Novolyalinskogo PPM (Novaya Lyalya Sverdlovsk region); reagent “synthetic adhesive wallpaper” (CSR) household chemical plant “Angarsk petrochemical company” in comparison with a reagent Kem-Pak – karbsimetilirovanny cellulose polymer (manufactured by Kem-Tron, USA) and others.
Kamtsel-1 solution forms amorphous flakes only when mixed with a solution of calcium chloride. Kamtsel reagent-grade 1 corresponds CMC 700, the optimum additive for drilling fluids for drilling a wellbore production tubing up to 0.1% and the solutions used in drilling for conductor – to 0.2-0.25%.
CMC sample is also in line with the brand 600. Optimal additives to drilling fluids for drilling under the production casing comprise 0.05-0.10%, and a jig for drilling – up to 0.2-0.4%. Reagents can be added to drilling fluids in dry form.
CSR solutions are rapidly degraded in the rusty metal container. Additives CSR leads to reduction index filtration of drilling fluids and simultaneously – to improve the structural and rheological properties unlike additives Kem-Pak. Therefore it is necessary to carry out further processing agents, diluents. CSR reagent can be used as a stabilizer in drilling fluids for drilling jig in an amount of 0.5% or more, and when a production tubing drilling – 0.1-0.3%.
